Also, if you live near an Asian grocery store, I highly recommend buying tofu cut into strips for noodles. It's about 40-80 calories for a generous portion and they are super easy to cook, they taste great if you just boil them in a pot with soy sauce. Much better tasting than shirataki and it doesn't get stuck in your throat.
If you have to go to a restaurant, eat seafood, they don't dick around with it as much as they do other meats, and most fish is very low-calorie. I highly recommend raw oysters, because you can have a plate of 12 for about 100 or so calories. They taste great too.
Japanese restaurants are the best place to go since the portion sizes are small, and even where they're large, sushi and sashimi are very low-calorie, so you have nothing to worry about.
Spicy food is an appetite suppressant. If you bought the tofu strips I told you about, add lots of sriracha sauce. Make sure you strain them, too.
If you have a craving for sweets, cover the sweet with something disgusting and take one bite. You won't be hungry anymore. If you have a craving for chips, make them soggy and eat one.
Swimming is a great exercise. It works all of your muscles without putting much strain on any of them, so you won't feel "the burn" as easily.
Don't worry about fats. Cut down carbs instead. If you eat more fats and protein and deprive yourself of carbs, your body goes into ketosis, where it rapidly burns weight to make up for the lack of carbs.
